Missing OneCoin cofounder Ruja Ignatova was killed on a yacht in Greece in November 2018, according to an investigative report from the Bureau of Investigative Reports and Data (BIRD) cited by financefeeds. According to the report, a Bulgarian national named Georgi Georgiev Vasilev drunkenly revealed that notorious drug lord Hristoforos Amanatidis, also known as Taki, was behind Ruja's murder. Bulgarian media further claimed that her body was mutilated and thrown into the Ionian Sea. However, a Twitter user named “Crypto Xpose,” who has been following OneCoin news, expressed doubts about the veracity of BIRD’s conclusions. Founded in 2014 by Ruja Ignatova, who was OneCoin's top leader until her disappearance, the project has been the subject of investigations in the US and UK since 2016, and several countries have since attempted to catch the scammers. Last June, OneCoin founder Ruja Ignatova was included in the FBI’s top ten most wanted list, and at the end of January Ruja Ignatova was listed as the beneficiary of a London penthouse.
