SEC Delays Decision on Approval of VanEck Bitcoin Spot ETF to October 11

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed a decision on whether to approve the VanEck Bitcoin ETF to Oct. 11, from the previous deadline of Aug. 27. The SEC rejected VanEck's bitcoin spot ETF application in November 2021, and VanEck has since reapplied. Grayscale’s previous application for a bitcoin spot ETF was rejected by the SEC on June 29.
