Blur founder: The function of accepting pending order prices has been re-enabled, and refund compensation will be provided to affected traders

Pacman, the founder of Blur, tweeted that around 11:00 Beijing time on April 22, Blur detected a bug in message processing that affected some bids that had been canceled in the past 80 hours. Immediately after detecting the vulnerability, the team disabled the "accept pending order price" feature. In a 30-minute period, 36 affected pending orders were accepted. Since then, Blur has fixed this issue and enabled the pending order price function at 14:05 Beijing time on April 22. Any current pending order price higher than the floor price will be automatically canceled until accepting pending order prices is enabled. In addition to fixing the bug that caused the issue, the team implemented two additional redundant security checks so that the issue doesn't happen again, Pacman said. All traders whose affected pending orders were accepted will be refunded 2x the difference between their bid and the highest bid in place at the time. For example, if the highest bid was 14.5 ETH and the affected order was accepted at 15.5 ETH, Blur will refund 2 ETH. Affected traders do not need to sell their NFTs to receive this refund. Blur will be sent automatically within the next 24 hours.
