HSBC: will use the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology campus environment to simulate a digital Hong Kong dollar payment ecosystem

Odaily Planet Daily News Bojan Obradovic, Digital Director of HSBC Hong Kong, said that HSBC plans to participate in two hypothetical digital Hong Kong dollar pilot projects, one of which is to use the research results and campus environment of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to simulate the digital Hong Kong dollar payment ecology system to test multiple applied theoretical hypotheses. HSBC will invite more than 100 participants to conduct real-time transactions to test the potential social and economic benefits of the digital Hong Kong dollar, including reducing fraud, improving incentive mechanisms and increasing the efficiency of payment rails.
