The U.S. Department of Justice previously accused SBF of leaking the private diaries of former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison to the media. SBF will face seven separate charges related to the FTX collapse, including telecommunications, commodities and securities fraud. Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett then tweeted that Judge Lewis Kaplan had rejected the defense's request to delay detention pending appeal, and that SBF would go to jail today. Less than an hour after SBF was detained, his legal team filed a remand appeal and paid the $505 filing fee.
