Sam Altman and Alex Blania, key backers of Worldcoin, recently spoke with Malaysian leaders as the two sought to improve government relations while demonstrating their commitment to protecting users’ data and privacy. Blania is the lead developer of Worldcoin and the CEO and co-founder of Tools of Humanity, according to an article on X.
The two met with Malaysian officials following a series of moves that seemed designed to show that the project is taking issues related to data collection and privacy seriously and is willing to work more closely with regulators and government officials.
Last month, Worldcoin suffered two temporary bans, with Spain and Portugal both ordering the project to stop collecting people’s personal data. (The Block)
