Ahmad Shadid, founder and CEO of Solana Ecosystem DePIN Protocol io.net, posted on the X platform that the team has made great progress in its plan for the first two weeks of release. Here are some of the most prominent results:
1. The proof-of-work (POW) verification process is online and runs on all connected GPUs every six hours, and the relevant logs have been made public. The team is conducting an audit of POW verification and will work to build a clearer UI and automation for these logs after release;
2. Based on user feedback, the "Total GPU" indicator in the browser has been changed to "Unverified" to make it clear that these are GPUs that are trying to connect but have not yet been verified as real GPUs;
3. The Worker login problem has been resolved, and users will no longer be repeatedly asked to restart the server;
4. Workers who attempt to run other jobs in parallel on io.net are now automatically blacklisted, which creates a more stable cluster and minimizes the dilution of rewards for committed GPUs;
5. The edge case where users receive the wrong GPU in the cluster due to some nodes containing mixed GPUs has been resolved.
The team still has a series of issues to resolve and improve before the official release. The CTO is finalizing a public issue list and will publish it this week. The team's current urgent tasks are as follows:
-Publish the accumulated points for Worker activities from March 1 to April 25, 2024, with the goal of completing this work this week;
-Fix the Worker withdrawal payment system;
-Open source the binary files used for proof of work verification;
-Fix the error of the malware warning logo when running a new client;
-Update IO Worker to reflect when the Worker is in the POW verification process.
