Ant Financial joins the HKMA's Ensemble project architecture working group

On May 7, Ant Digital announced that it has joined the Ensemble project architecture working group of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and will participate in the technical testing of Hong Kong’s tokenized deposits, the exploration of innovative scenarios for tokenized assets, and the formulation of relevant industry standards. The core of the Ensemble project is the Ensemble project sandbox that the HKMA will launch this year, aiming to conduct in-depth research and test various tokenization use cases, including the settlement of tokenized real-world assets, which may develop into a new financial market infrastructure. , becoming a bridge between tokenized real-world assets and tokenized currencies in transactions. It is understood that the initial members of the project team include the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Center of the Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub, the CBDC expert group and 7 corporate institutions, namely Bank of China (Hong Kong), Hang Seng Bank, HSBC , Standard Chartered Hong Kong, HashKey Group, Ant Digital and Microsoft Hong Kong.
