ConsenSys announced the release of a private beta version of the zkEVM testnet, which has been made available to selected applicants on Infura, allowing developers to deploy and test smart contracts and migrate DApps from the existing network, as well as bridge tokens. ConsenSys said its zkEVM achieves EVM equivalence, enjoying the security of Ethereum with the scalability and low fees of zkEVM. ConsenSys will start testing the zkEVM testnet internally next week, and will gradually open the permission list to allow external users to register from January 2023.
