Writer and producer Andreas "Axident" Schuller is gearing up to offer NFTs that confer a share of forthcoming streaming royalties from Justin Bieber's hit track "Company."

Schuller, having worked with artists like Pitbull and Jason Derulo, has partnered with the blockchain-based music rights platform AnotherBlock to present a 1% stake in the streaming royalty rights of Bieber's "Company" via 2,000 Ethereum-based NFTs.

These ERC-721 tokens will be available for purchase starting at 0.017 ETH (approximately $28) and grant each holder 0.0005% of future streaming earnings from digital service providers such as Apple Music, Tidal, and Spotify.

Royalty Payouts from "Company"

The current plan entails royalty payments being disbursed bi-annually, though AnotherBlock has hinted at potential updates in this regard.

The sale of "Company" NFTs will commence on September 7, with both credit card and cryptocurrency payments accepted by AnotherBlock.

To date, the song has amassed over 677 million views on YouTube alone.

Schuller expressed his sentiment regarding the initiative, stating:

"The ownership of a song bears far greater weight than its monetary value; it forges a profound connection to the art that, until now, has been beyond the reach of fans."

Justin Bieber's Involvement in NFTs

Bieber is not directly involved in the sale of Axident's share of streaming royalty rights for "Company.

The musician is known as the owner of a Bored Ape Yacht Club profile picture (PFP) NFT, among other assets.
