In line with MetaMask's official statement, this "Sell" feature empowers users to effortlessly transform their crypto holdings into fiat, with the resulting funds securely channelled to their designated bank accounts.

Currently, this feature is available to users residing in the United States (US), the United Kingdom, and select regions in Europe.

Initially, it extends support to ETH on the Ethereum mainnet, with promising plans for future expansion to encompass native gas tokens on layer 2 networks.

Beyond bank account deposits, individuals who rely on this decentralised wallet now have the option to transfer their converted fiat directly to their PayPal balances.

This multi-faceted functionality presents a host of possibilities for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

"Combined with the Buy feature, it enables you to have a self-sufficient Web3 experience with fewer intermediaries and faster fiat conversion directly to your destination of choice where available, like your bank account or PayPal balance. Ensuring a way for users to enter and exit crypto freely is important, and we hope these options make Web3 attainable to more people."
