Elon Musk, the owner of X, publicly questioned today why Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin left the platform. Musk's inquiry came in response to a post by Autism Capital, advocating for Buterin's return to the X platform.
Buterin, who has been an active user of Farcaster, a cryptocurrency-focused social media platform similar to Twitter, expressed his satisfaction with Farcaster in February, stating, "Farcaster has become quite useful as a Twitter alternative for many people. I believe the channels actually improve it in many ways."
Autism Capital, while urging Buterin to return to X, expressed skepticism about Farcaster's ability to succeed in the ongoing cultural competition. The post stated, "Vitalik needs to go back to X. Farcaster will not win the culture war. If it mobilizes the larger community here on platform X, it will have a much greater impact."
Buterin, with approximately 180,000 followers on Farcaster, where his account is linked to the Ethereum Name Service address vitalik.eth, has a significantly larger following of 5.2 million on X.
