Aave Co-Founder Denies Rumors Of wBTC Removal

According to Odaily, on September 20, Aave co-founder Stani Kulechov addressed rumors regarding the potential removal of wBTC from the platform. Kulechov clarified that these claims are incorrect, stating that Aave has not eliminated wBTC. He explained that the proposal to limit wBTC was made by one of the risk providers and does not represent a decision to remove it. Kulechov emphasized that Aave DAO operates as a true decentralized autonomous organization, and proposals do not equate to exit decisions. This particular proposal is not about removing wBTC. Further insights from the Aave forum reveal that ACI founder Zeller and several community representatives have also opposed this aggressive proposal. They advocate for a more cautious approach in handling such matters. As of now, Aave has not taken any action to delist or adjust any parameters related to wBTC.
