爱尔兰数据隐私监管机构周三（1月4日）对Meta公司开出3.9亿欧元的罚款。爱尔兰数据保护委员会（DPC）称Meta公司旗下的社交媒体脸书和Instagram所提供的服务，存在违规行为，要求两家平台必须重新评估在欧盟境内基于个人数据运营广告的法律依据。DPC要求Meta公司在三个月内使数据处理程序符合规定。目前，DPC还在对Meta公司的其他11项服务进行调查。
