As Cointelegraph reported, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico held a bail hearing for Mango Markets attacker Avraham Eisenberg. The court ruled that Eisenberg’s detention was necessary. According to court documents, Eisenberg’s release was not subject to any conditions that would reasonably ensure that he appeared in court as required. In addition, the court cited other reasons. That includes facing lengthy prison terms if Eisenberg is convicted and has significant family or other ties outside the United States and his background is unproven. A detention order is a court order that can be issued at a bail hearing. If the judge decides to issue a detention order, the defendant will remain in custody until the case is over or he is released on bail. Foresight News previously reported that the Mango attacker was arrested in Puerto Rico on December 28, 2022, and U.S. prosecutors accused it of commodity fraud and market manipulation.
