Informed sources: Ethereum re-collateralization protocol EigenLayer is raising $50 million in Series A funding

According to The Block, citing people familiar with the matter, EigenLayer, an Ethereum re-staking protocol, is raising $50 million in Series A financing, which will provide EigenLayer with a post-financing equity valuation of $250 million and a token valuation of $500 million or fully Dilute the valuation. The funding round, which began before FTX’s collapse last November, is expected to close soon. After the Series A round of financing is completed, EigenLayer's total funding will reach approximately $65 million. EigenLayer had previously raised $14.4 million in funding from investors including Figment Capital, according to PitchBook data. Built on top of Ethereum, EigenLayer enables users to re-stake their ETH and extends cryptographic security to Rollups, cross-chain bridges, and oracles.
