The BitDAO community initiated a proposal in Snapshot, proposing to plan a one-year budget fund for the previously launched Ethereum Layer 2 network Mantle, including 10 million BIT and 14 million USDC to pay for the 6-month operating expenses of the test network. The budget allocation for the first phase (first year) of the Mantle main network is as follows: 145 million BIT and 34 million USDC are used for the main network operating expenses in the first year; Offset by BIT transaction fees received on the Mantle Network); Loans of 30 million BIT and $60 million equivalent in main assets (which belong to BitDAO and can be tracked on-chain) to fund canonical bridge and node delegation . The deadline for voting on this proposal is 22:00 on February 20. In January, BitDAO’s modular Ethereum Layer 2 network Mantle Network announced the launch of the testnet. Mantle takes security from Ethereum with Rollups and is building a separate data availability layer with partner EigenLayer.
