Cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Huobi on Tuesday froze $1.4 million worth of cryptocurrencies related to the Harmony Bridge theft and its alleged North Korean hackers, cryptocurrency tracker Elliptic said. The Horizon cross-chain bridge was attacked on June 24, 2022, resulting in a loss of $99.6 million in crypto assets. These funds were then laundered through Tornado Cash. Elliptic investigators tracked all the funds through the mixer and identified the hackers as Lazarus Group, a North Korean-controlled cybercriminal organization. The FBI previously confirmed this.
