Kaito, an artificial intelligence-based encrypted search engine, has completed a $5.3 million seed round led by Dragonfly Capital. Participating investors include Sequoia Capital, Jane Street, Mirana Ventures, Folius Ventures, and Alpha Lab Capital. Kaito founder and CEO Yu Hu said that the next round (funding) is currently in discussion with OpenAI, Binance and Dragonfly. Kaito said the funds will be used to scale the team and accelerate product development. Kaito's MetaSearch aims to enable users to search the entire cryptosphere via platforms like Twitter, Discord, Governance Forums, Mirror, Medium, and more with a one-click product. In addition to aggregating information, Kaito leverages AI to optimize its search engine through ranking, topic mining, personalization, recommendations, speech-to-text transcription, and AI-generated content, and also integrates ChatGPT/GPT-3. Kaito will also launch a token-based community that will leverage a similar model to Wikipedia, where users can contribute to the platform through a tiered system.
