DeFi project Huma Finance announced the completion of a $8.3 million seed round of financing. Investors include Race Capital, Distributed Global, ParaFi, Circle Ventures, and Folius Ventures. Launch partners include Circle, Request Network, and Superfluid. Huma's first product, to be built on Ethereum and Polygon, is an on-chain factoring marketplace. Huma plans to use the funding to continue developing the platform and expand its reach into new markets. Huma Finance is an income-supported lending protocol (loans approved based on the borrower's income) for individuals and businesses, and the winner of the 2022 ETHDenver Hackathon DeFi track, founded by former Google, Meta, Lyft, Microsoft, Earnin and Built by Opendoor's team members.
