Optimism, the second-layer solution of Ethereum, announced that it will conduct a hard fork of Optimism Goerli in March, and the exact time will be announced next week. This upgrade will improve the Bedrock development experience by fixing some system transaction receipt inconsistencies in the API. The bug is developer oriented and does not affect user funds, but it does require a fork to be fixed. In terms of upgrade time, op-geth and op-node updates will be released in early March, and then the fork will be activated in mid-March. Users do not need to take any action and experience no interruption or downtime. Partners and project running nodes on Optimism Goerli will need to upgrade their nodes when op-geth and op-node updates are released.
