The Uniswap community’s proposal to create the Uniswap Foundation has passed temperature checks, consensus checks, and on-chain voting, and has now finally been passed. The foundation aims to simplify the grant process, reduce friction in governance, and support the community. The foundation is currently seeking a $74 million budget from the DAO treasury, with $60 million to expand the grants program and $14 million to cover operating expenses. The budget funds will be delivered in two tranches, with an initial disbursement of $20 million, which is expected to support the foundation's operations for 3 years.
