Odaily Planet Daily News Grayscale released a report saying that millennials and Generation Z voters may ultimately determine the outcome of the "Bitcoin election" because they are increasingly worried about their financial situation. It is reported that Cathie Wood and Balaji Srinivasan called 2024 the "Bitcoin election".
The Grayscale team examines how these trends relate to the upcoming 2024 US presidential election. First, Bitcoin is currently at a price high for a U.S. presidential election cycle; Bitcoin is currently trading at over $29,000, compared to a high of around $20,000 during the previous election cycle in Q4 2020.
Second, and arguably equally important, those who are particularly distrustful of institutions, while at the same time worried about their financial future, are likely to be the most critical group of voters until 2024.
Young people are expected to make up the largest percentage of voters in history in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, with early reports stating that millennials and Gen Z will make up 44 percent of the U.S. electorate by 2024. (The Daily Hodl)
