The upgrade is expected to occur at 10:00 on September 11, Beijing time. This upgrade includes the following: 1. Optimization of node double-signature penalty logic: double-signature verifiers will immediately freeze and stop block production, and the joint evaluation of community governance and developer committees will determine the amount of fines, and then the community will vote on governance proposals; 2. Optimization of parameter governance mechanism on the community chain: the governance process will be streamlined and transparent, and proposals, voting results, and decisions will be made public; through the establishment of committees, users will gain greater voting rights to participate in on-chain governance; 3. Support BLS aggregate signature: The upgrade allows BLS signature, which significantly reduces the block signature size compared with the previous ECDSA-SECP256K1 signature. This upgrade will bring the following benefits: - Improve block broadcast efficiency; - Reduce block size; - Increase the security of the verifier account private key; - Reduced penalties for unexpected block production stoppages; - Improve the RIP process and encourage participation in community governance.
