The Constitutional Court of the Central African Republic (CAR) has said that using the Central African Republic’s national cryptocurrency SANGO to buy citizenship, e-residency and land is unconstitutional because nationality has no market value, Reuters reports. Foresight News previously reported that SANGO, the national cryptocurrency of the Central African Republic, was launched on July 25. Holders can obtain corresponding rights by providing different lock-up pledge periods, including residency, citizenship and land ownership. With just under 20 million Sango tokens claimed so far, the Central African Republic has extended its first sale cycle by about five weeks.
