Odaily Planet Daily News In order to conduct criminal defense, SBF's defense legal team has asked a federal judge to allow SBF to use antidepressants in prison.
According to documents filed Aug. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, attorneys submitted a proposed order to Judge Lewis Kaplan that, if approved, would allow SBF to use the drug-transdermal patch in prison. Dr. George Lerner noted that SBF had been receiving psychiatric treatment since February 2019 and had a history of major depressive disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
George Lerner stated that without the psychiatric medication, SBF would have developed symptoms of depression and ADHD which seriously affected his defense. (Cointelegraph)
