According to CoinDesk, Polygon’s modular blockchain project Avail opened the second phase of the “Kate” testnet. The first testnet phase allows Avail to experiment with basic operations, perform on-chain functions and run protocol governance. Phase 2 will include a more comprehensive testing environment to encourage validator participation. Avail also intends to address the “data availability” problem faced by scaling applications, the developers said, with plans to recruit hundreds of new validators to join, participate, and participate in its community.
