The decentralized social media platform Lens Protocol released the LIP-4 proposal, which intends to add a default security layer "Profile Guardian" to the Lens Profile to help Lens users prevent phishing scams. "Profile Guardian" will disable Lens Profile approval, transfer and other critical operations. Users can choose to turn off "Profile Guardian", which will start a 7-day cooling period. During this time, services such as the Lens API can track and provide data to clients to notify users that their Profile is unsafe and recommend actions to keep the Profile secure. Foresight News previously reported that Lens Protocol enabled Lens Improvement Proposals (LIPs) on June 15, where community members can propose improvements to the protocol in this governance model.
