Odaily Planet Daily News VitaDAO, a DeSci (decentralized science) project invested by pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, recently spun off a biotechnology company, Matrix Biosciences.
Matrix Biosciences, a biotech company led by Vera Gorbunova, an anti-aging researcher at the University of Rochester, has an initial funding of $300,000 for the project, with more funding to be available in early 2024. The company aims to conduct research on the longevity and cancer-fighting properties of naked mole rats, and to study whether compounds found in naked mole rats could extend human lifespan.
