According to Cointelegraph: In the aftermath of a smart contract attack, Maestrobots, a group of cryptocurrency trading bots operating on Telegram, has refunded affected users with 610 Ether (ETH). The attack, which occurred on October 24, exploited the Maestro Router 2 contract and siphoned approximately 280 ETH.As announced on October 25, Maestrobots has compensated those affected by reimbursing them in Ether from the platform's own revenue. At current prices, the total compensation exceeds $1 million. While the majority of reimbursements were made in Ether, in some instances, Maestro opted to buy and refund the affected tokens, which it deemed more equitable. For two of the exploited tokens, JOE and LMI, users were compensated in ETH, as lack of liquidity prevented token repurchases. This compensation follows the October 24 attack on the MaestroRouter on the Ethereum mainnet. The breach was identified and rectified within half an hour, and trading resumed shortly after a temporary halt. Wallets remained secure throughout the attack, which was solely directed at the Router.Maestrobots, also known as Maestro, operates on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Arbitrum networks. The bot system comprises the Maestro Whale Bot, the Maestro Sniper Bot, and the Maestro Wallet Bot. As of now, the Maestro Bots Hub Telegram channel has more than 100,000 subscribers.
