The Snapshot page shows that the Aave community launched an ARFC proposal on "Using StkGHO to upgrade security modules", and voting is now open until December 1.
The proposal proposes to enhance it by integrating the GHO Safety Module. This new category aims to leverage GHO’s stablecoin properties to reduce the risk of potential shortage events in its ecosystem, in addition to reducing security incentives for StkAAVE and StkBPT.
The GHO security module will enhance the resiliency of the Aave protocol by adding stablecoin assets, which are inherently less volatile than AAVE. This strategic move diversifies the security module's ability to absorb shocks from various risk vectors in the event of a shortage.
