Earlier today, it was reported that according to an order issued by District Judge Robert Shelby of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, SEC lawyers may be subject to sanctions as they raise questions about the crypto project Debt Box’s alleged transfer of its assets and investor funds overseas. The "misleading" arguments led the court to freeze the project's bank accounts.
The SEC first sued Debt Box in July, accusing the company of planning to sell unregistered securities called "node licenses" starting in 2021.
