According to Foresight News, Tiger Securities (Hong Kong) has been granted a Type 9 license by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to provide asset management services. This will enable the company to offer a range of asset management services to investors, including discretionary account services for retail and professional investors, as well as managing collective investment schemes for professional investors.
Tiger International's partner Xu Yang stated that in addition to professional investors, the license also allows Tiger to provide discretionary account services for retail investors, lowering the entry threshold. Previously, Tiger Securities obtained an upgrade to its Type 1 license from the SFC in January, allowing professional investors to trade virtual assets on the SFC-licensed platform through Tiger Securities (Hong Kong).
