On Wednesday, gaming companies Playtron and Mysten Labs unveiled SuiPlay0x1, a handheld console running the Linux-based Playtron operating system, at the Sui Basecamp event in Paris. The device, expected to launch in 2025, will run not only Sui-based games, but also chain games on other networks, and even PC games from platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Mysten and Playtron promise deep native integration of the Sui blockchain. Sui assets owned by users will be associated with their Playtron accounts, allowing them to access them from any such device. The devices will leverage Sui's zkLogin feature for Web2-like logins. It will also allow users to pay for traditional games using Sui wallets through Playtron's own storefront. (Decrypt)
