Aptos released an overview of token economics. The initial total supply of APT is 1 billion, of which 51.02% is allocated to the community, 19.00% to core contributors, 16.50% to the foundation, and 13.48% to investors. From the mainnet launch, all investors and current core contributors have a 4-year lock-up schedule, fully locked in the first twelve months, 3/48 of such tokens in the 13th month after the mainnet launch And unlock every month thereafter, until the 18th month, starting from the 19th month after the mainnet launch, 1/48 of the tokens will be unlocked every month, so that all such tokens will be unlocked on the 4th anniversary of the mainnet launch . Regarding the distribution schedule for the community and the Aptos Foundation, the token pool is earmarked for ecosystem-related projects such as grants, incentives, and other community development programs, and some tokens have been allocated to projects built on the Aptos protocol, and will be awarded upon completion of certain milestones. The majority of these tokens (410,217,359.767) are held by the Aptos Foundation and a small portion (100 million) is held by Aptos Labs. These tokens are expected to be distributed within ten years.
