Shiba Inu Team Member Discusses Token Burns and Upcoming Shibarium Hard Fork

According to U.Today, a member of the Shiba Inu team, Lucie, recently discussed the concept of token burns and the upcoming hard fork of the Shibarium network. Lucie was responding to a community member's query about Shiba Inu's lead, Shytoshi Kusama, and the timing of token burns. Lucie clarified that the decision to burn the keys to the Shiba Inu supply, made by the founder Ryoshi, implies that anything to be burned must first be purchased. This means that to conduct burns, income must be generated to facilitate the process. Lucie also addressed requests for SHIB developers to take action on burns, stating that Shiba Inu's lead, Shytoshi Kusama, and other developers are not the key to burns as they do not hold tokens to burn. Lucie emphasized that the SHIB community is the driving force behind burns, such as burning tokens or transactions. This is why the focus is on attracting additional projects to Shibarium and encouraging users to bridge, as this is how more SHIB will be burned. The upcoming hard fork of the Shibarium network is a significant event in the evolution of Shiba Inu's blockchain ecosystem. The Shibarium hard fork includes major updates to two key components of the Shiba Inu blockchain ecosystem: Bor and Heimdall. These updates aim to enhance network efficiency, optimize consensus mechanisms, and introduce additional scalability-supporting functions. The Shibarium Bor Hard Fork is scheduled for May 2, 2:30 a.m. EST, and the Shibarium Heimdall Hard Fork for May 3 at 12:30 a.m. EST. This hard fork implements milestones to achieve deterministic finality on the Shibarium network, which enhances transaction confirmation reliability.
