LayerZero Labs publishes the "Protocol RFP" proposal in the community as the first step in the TGE allocation process, enabling each project to establish its own allocation criteria relative to its overall token allocation.
All projects that have deployed OApp, OFT, or ONFT contracts on the mainnet before Snapshot #1 and claimed on LayerZero Scan are eligible to submit proposals.
The proposal allows projects to specify how their token allocations will be distributed. When creating a proposal, projects are encouraged to consider the following suggestions: Rewards should be retroactive and for behavior before Snapshot #1. The distribution of project token allocations does not need to be weighted based solely on LayerZero messages.
The team recommends that each team provide a developer address so that the development team can directly receive 10% of the allocation to the developer from this RFP. An example of a project allocation is: 50% to users of cross-chain OFT, 20% to LPs, 15% to token holders, and 15% to community members.
The LayerZero Foundation will cross-reference all addresses submitted by the project to the Protocol RFP forum with the final Sybil Report. Such addresses will be automatically disqualified from allocations unless they are self-reported. Projects that submit addresses that have not performed actions before Snapshot #1 will be blacklisted from the RFP.
It is important to note that the Protocol RFP is only one aspect of the TGE, and more information about token allocations (including single user allocations and future protocol allocations) will be announced soon.
