Reebok Introduces AI-Powered Custom Sneaker Design Feature

According to Blockworks, Reebok has launched a new feature in collaboration with Futureverse, named 'Reebok Impact'. This AI-powered tool allows users to send a photo via Instagram direct message and receive a custom digital sneaker design reflecting the colors and style of the image. Users can create up to four pairs for free and send the file to games like Fortnite and Roblox. The tool aims to provide an easy-to-navigate user experience for sneaker enthusiasts. Futureverse co-founders Shara Senderoff and Aaron McDonald stated that this is just the beginning of the future of fashion. Reebok is the latest to join the digital fashion trend, following its parent company Adidas, which announced a long-term collaboration with the move-to-earn app STEPN last month. This partnership aims to bring Adidas sneaker NFTs to the platform. Nike, a corporate rival, also announced new developments in their digital wearable business this week. Nike's NFT platform, .SWOOSH, now allows users to create their own designs and enter a competition to make their digital shoe real. While Reebok is not offering users the ability to purchase physical pairs of their 'Reebok Impact' sneakers, the company stated that using Reebok Impact will come with an 'incentive' to make some real-life purchases.
