ZetaChain, a Layer 1 blockchain operator focused on interoperability, introduced ZetaChain 2.0, the first universal EVM for chain abstraction, in an official blog.
ZetaChain 2.0 is a series of proposed upgrades that expand the following current features of the universal EVM stack: 1. Messaging and asset management become composable, supporting abstract processing of complex multi-step transactions and simplifying user operations. 2. Universal applications can combine user assets across multiple chains, and users only need to interact with one application on ZetaChain to enjoy application services on multiple chains. 3. Universal proof of stake allows users to pledge native assets (such as BTC, ETH, BNB) to ZetaChain's PoS, earn rewards, and enhance network security. 4. Added Bitcoin compatibility, IBC (inter-chain communication protocol), and additional chain integrations, enabling more users and wallets to access universal applications on ZetaChain.
