Decentralized gaming platform The Sandbox has announced the launch of its decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), The Sandbox DAO. The DAO is planned to be implemented in three phases, allowing The Sandbox (SAND) holders, virtual LAND holders to vote on projects, and propose improvements through Sandbox Improvement Proposals (SIPs). The first phase will begin on May 28, and the community will be able to vote on SIPs; however, The Sandbox staff will still manage some operations. The second phase of the DAO's implementation is considered its "exploration" phase, and it is expected that the Sandbox DAO will be able to stand on its own - independent of the parent company.
