Aegis Custody announces the establishment of Aegis Prime, a digital asset custody and tokenization lab, with support from Cyberport

Aegis Custody, a local bank crypto custody technology solution in Hong Kong, announced that it has been supported by Cyberport to establish a digital asset custody and tokenization laboratory Aegis Prime, which provides asset management companies, securities firms and brokers, banks, family offices and insurance companies with tokenization solutions that meet the requirements of the Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. It will appoint Wu Ziquan as its chief executive officer. Aegis Prime will provide financial institutions with a user acceptance test (UAT) environment to test physical subscriptions and redemptions of spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), the ability to deposit and withdraw virtual currencies in virtual asset transactions, stablecoin custody and distribution, and various tokenization use cases, such as tokenized funds, tokenized bonds, and tokenized trade debts.
