Recently, Senator Bill Hagerty, a member of the U.S. Senate Banking and Foreign Relations Committee, discussed several key issues in an interview with Bloomberg, including the future of cryptocurrencies under a potential second Trump administration.
Hagerty mentioned Trump's support for cryptocurrencies, emphasizing that it is consistent with the recent Republican platform. He sees cryptocurrency as a key issue in the upcoming November election. "I spent a lot of time discussing this industry with the (former) president, and I think that just this week, our Republican platform reached a common vision."
Hagerty criticized the Democratic Party's approach to cryptocurrency, calling it too centralized and restrictive. He believes that Democrats oppose the decentralized nature of encryption technology. "Innovation will happen. Encryption technology has great potential for the United States. We have an innovative gene in this regard that surpasses any other country. We should take advantage of this and create an ecosystem that allows this," he further pointed out. (Bitcoin.com)
