Sotheby's has announced that it will auction on December 13 another last surviving copy of the first copy of the United States Constitution in private hands, ahead of the auction, which will be on public display at Sotheby's York Avenue Gallery from November 4 to 22 , on view again in New York from November 30 to December 12. This copy of the Constitution was last seen at a Philadelphia auction in 1894, part of the collection of Georgia attorney, statesman and amateur historian Charles Colcock Jones, auctioned for the first time in 125 years, estimate 20/300,000 Dollar. Foresight News notes that this copy is one of only 13 official prints made by delegates to the U.S. Constitutional and Continental Congresses, 11 of which are held in prestigious institutional and government collections, and another copy was put up for auction last November, ConstitutionDAO raised more than $40 million in Ethereum from 17,000 contributors to win the auction, and the copy was sold for $43.2 million by Citadel founder and CEO Kenneth Griffin, who later loaned the document to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art exhibit.
