According to a Reuters survey: 54% of economists believe that the Bank of Japan will raise interest rates again before the end of 2024 (57% held this view in the August survey); no one believes that there will be a rate hike in September. Of the 23 economists who believe that the Bank of Japan will raise interest rates before the end of the year and predict a specific month, 78% believe it will be in December; 22% believe it will be in October.
