U.S. Vice President Harris has previously publicly expressed support for digital assets. Hayden Adams, CEO of Uniswap Labs, posted a message on X to express support, believing that this is a positive signal, "Kamala has indicated that she will encourage innovative technologies such as digital assets. I believe this is the first time she has publicly mentioned cryptocurrency in a positive way."
Industry insiders are skeptical about this, pointing out that the Biden administration's policy toward cryptocurrencies over the past four years has not been friendly. In response, Adams said: "I agree that Biden has performed poorly for the cryptocurrency and technology industries. Harris is hinting that her government will handle it differently and be more supportive of innovation. Personally, I think the current vice president's positive statement is a step forward."
Earlier today, Harris commented on the crypto industry for the first time at a recent Wall Street fundraising event, and incorporated artificial intelligence and crypto technology into her vision of an "opportunity economy."
