At the 2024 Hong Kong SmartCon conference held by Chainlink, 1inch co-founder Sergej Kunz gave a speech on the theme of "Exploring Cross-Chain Exchanges: 1inch Fusion+simplified". Sergej Kunz introduced that compared with conventional transactions, intention transactions are confirmed by users, and then professionals define strategies and execute related transactions. The benefits of intentions include optimized decision-making, improved risk control, more advanced financial decision-making, efficiency and automation, enhanced user experience, and the potential for better rates.
The liquidity between Web3 systems is fragmented. From 2023, the TBV of the Ethereum ecosystem (including L2) is about 70 billion US dollars. In the cross-chain scenario, there are many pain points: poor UX, different bridges for different chains, lack of transparency and liquidity, long waits, high fees, security risks, etc.
In the field of intention, 1inch's innovative attempt is to combine 1inch Fusion with atomic swaps to achieve efficiency, scalability, competitiveness, and permissionlessness. Its two major use cases are limit orders and swaps. To date, Fusion has handled $34 billion in trading volume, with limit order trading volume of approximately $29 billion. “Users are welcome to experience the beta test of Fusion+ in the 1inch app.”
