Solana MEV infrastructure protocol Jito experienced a brief outage last night, causing a surge in Solana chain priority fees. Jito Labs' official X account posted at 22:37 Beijing time on November 13: "We are now experiencing a system-wide outage. The team is working hard to fix it and will follow up after the problem is resolved." The problem was resolved about an hour later, but the root cause is currently unknown. The Jito team wrote in a follow-up message: "The issue affecting bundle delivery has been identified and resolved. All systems are fully operational and secure. This issue did not affect network activity. A technical post-mortem analysis will be conducted later." Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko said in a response on X that this may be related to "scheduler stress testing." “I think their block engine servers were just overloaded because of the sheer volume of demand,” said Mert Mumtaz, Helius co-founder and Solana commentator. “But they fixed it in 10 minutes, which was amazing.” During the outage, Solana’s priority fees rose by about 25-30 times, according to Compass Solana.
