It is reported that Xu (handled in another case) was preparing to develop the "Mobius" project, that is, issuing and promoting MBUS (Mobius) virtual currency, cards, etc. Several people required participants to purchase and hold MBUS coins, NFT cards, and MSS coins in the name of investing in virtual currency and derivative project transactions, and actively developed downline personnel by "pulling people", defrauding participants of a total of more than 964,300 USDT (1USDT is approximately equal to 1 US dollar, equivalent to approximately 6.39 million yuan). After the incident, it was determined that 29,280 wallet address records of MBUS coin holders were found, and the total recommended level was 48 levels. Seven people involved in the case, including Li, Xiang, and Huang, were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from two to three years, suspended sentences, and fines.
