Bitpanda receives approval in principle from UAE Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority to enter market outside Europe for the first time

European digital asset platform Bitpanda has received in-principle approval from the UAE Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA). This paves the way for the company to operate under the name Bitpanda Broker MENA DMCC, marking its first foray into markets outside of Europe. Further steps are required for Bitpanda to receive full operational approval, including setting up a fully operational office in Dubai, forming a regional management team, and implementing VARA-compliant infrastructure to support its services.
