Spanish cryptocurrency service provider BitBase plans to deploy the first cryptocurrency ATMs in Argentina in 2025, and has invested $524,000 in equipment procurement, store openings, and to help it comply with local regulations. The company has also hired 10 employees to work in the country and has reached cooperation agreements with local non-governmental organizations such as Bitcoin Argentina.
BitBase was launched in 2017 and currently operates Bitcoin ATMs and other physical outlets in Spain. The company claims to have 135 cryptocurrency ATMs, 24 physical stores, 50 employees and "more than 35,000 active users." (Cryptonews)
